Activity Details
During this course students master the fundamentals of the FII education system in an easy-to-learn course format operating between the classroom, pool and open water setting. With a high emphasis on safety and comfort, students master the proper skills to effectively operate up to depths of 66 feet/20 meters.

Itinerary
- Day 1: Classroom session (7:45 AM – 12:00 PM) followed by confined water training (1:00 PM – 5:00 PM)
- Day 2: Open water dive (8:00 AM – 11:00 AM), final exam and lunch (11:00 AM – 1:00 PM)

Check-in details
- Arrive by 7:45 AM at Kona Honu Divers; waivers must be completed in advance.
What to bring
- Mask, snorkel, fins, weight belt, wetsuit (3mm recommended)
- Towel, sunscreen, water, hat
Special requirements
- Must be in good health with no heart conditions
- Complete Medical Statement and waivers before the course
Restrictions
- Minimum of 2 students required for the course to run
- Must bring own gear or rent/purchase from the shop
